Our very traditional procedures for making malt culminate with a complete contrast, the most up to date kilning technology. Installed in 2017, our bespoke, powerful and very efficient Weishaupt gas fired kiln has widened the kaleidoscope of malts we can make, as well as ensuring the most perfect specification of each batch of malt.

We have been able to add to our range of malts, firstly an even paler malt than our ‘Low Colour’, which we label our ‘Czech Malt’, and secondly, we now have a malt that is a shade darker than our ‘Munich Malt’ which we label ‘Maltings Gold’.

This combination of our gentle and natural germination process with such precise kilning technology is almost certainly quite unique within the U.K. malting industry.
